Monthly opened on 14th, 15th and 16th of the lunar calendar, to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritages of Dong Van Ancient Quarter, Ha Giang, Vietnam
In these festival, the houses in the Old Street are lighted with lanterns, the cultural and artistic activities is organized in the old market such as cuisine festival, art perfromance, and traditional handicrafts, etc.
The Mong ethnic group from Lung Phin, Pho Bang, Ma Le perform handicraft like knife and hack hammering, cloth weaving, dye cloth, Ta Phu sewing – traditional clothing of their ethnic minority.
The Co Lao people from Sinh Lung perform the art of making wood chopping – board, types of cake made from corn powder, etc.
The night market in the old Quarter under light of red lantern is like a luminous pearls shining sparkling and fanciful light in mysterious context of a rocky highland, making even the prissiest visitors satisfied and pleased.
